2. Grab the Mobile App

Grab Meshtastic app from the App Store/Google Play. Open it up, and connect to your device.

3. Configure LoRa

We're using the default settings. Set your region to United States, use preset: Long Range - Fast (we often refer to this as LongFast). We recommend maxing the hop count at 7 so you can reach more (default is 3 which usually isn't enough in SATX). Save, restart, reconnect.

4. (Optional) Configure MQTT

If you're far away, not able to reach nodes, want to connect to others a long distance, or just want a relay with internet, MQTT is an option that will allow messages to be relayed between device and our server. This either needs wifi/networking enabled on the device, or if your device doesn't have it, you can use your phone as a proxy

  1. In Settings>LoRa, set Ok to MQTT. Save.
