Alamo City Radios.org (ACRO) exists to connect people through reliable, diverse communication systems—including GMRS, amateur radio, DMR, SDR, Meshtastic, MeshCore, and emerging technologies.

Our mission is to promote public safety, technical education, and community resilience by helping individuals become licensed, skilled, and confident communicators. We foster a collaborative environment where members share knowledge, support one another, and build interoperable communication networks that serve both everyday use and critical situations. 

We meet regularly to exchange ideas, advance technical capabilities, and mentor new operators—strengthening both individual expertise and the broader community.

Above all, we believe communication should be practical, empowering, and enjoyable.
